Meridee Febus, RPh is a clinical pharmacist with over 35-years’ experience dissecting the most complicated of acute and chronic health and medication issues within the hospital setting. A fierce, but extraordinarily compassionate, health advocate for the medically complex and underserved elderly, Meridee, found her “voice” and fervor as a concierge clinical pharmacist for her parents nearly a decade ago with her mother’s first cancer and cardiac diagnoses.

While navigating the dark depths of the COVID pandemic with her mom’s second cancer diagnosis and dad’s failing health, Meridee found herself as her parent’s interpreter and assimilator of the massive amounts of health information bombarding them from the masked, muffled multi-disciplinary areas of health that had unintentionally dropped the meaning of “care” from their practices.

Meridee has created an advocacy liaisonship that intervenes on behalf of those who don’t understand or are unable to speak for themselves. She is deeply empathetic for the disabled and hurting yet foundationally, clinically and experientially evidence-based as well as lifestyle and integrative-medicine focused in her approach to restoring energy, vitality and quality wellness to those she serves.

  • As required by Federal law, I obtain HIPAA consents from you and details about the amount of information you would like disclosed to me by your providers as your Advocate. I then go to work obtaining and interfacing historical documentation about your health and medications from your providers to ensure 100% accuracy. If any discrepancies between providers occur, I endeavor to facilitate communication between you and all providers to sort out the facts.

  • By getting to know you, your health goals and what’s most important for restoring to you the energy and vitality you were meant to have, whether it be fewer, different or lower dosages of medications, lifestyle modifications, or a combination of both. Sleep improvement, stress management, proper nutrition, exercise, social connections and elimination of risky substances are all addressed.

  • De-prescribing is the process by which a care provider, particularly your Pharmacist, will work to discontinue or reduce the dosage of medications you’re taking for any one of a number of safety concerns—duplication in the way it works with another medication that you’re on, a chemical or physiologic interaction with another medication, food or a condition that you may have, or due to one or more of your body’s organ systems not working well enough to eliminate the medication from your system effectively.

  • Only if necessary for proper communication and establishment of safer guidelines for your health management. These appointments may be attended via tele-health or in-person, as required. Additional fees may be incurred for Advocate attendance at any provider appointment depending on contract agreements.

  • For continuity of care and sufficient time for establishment of patient-advocate relationships, all patient services are set up on a concierge membership structure.

    Due to the fact that Medicare (CMS) does not yet recognize Pharmacists as independent care providers, I am unable to bill Medicare or any insurance plans at this time. If you have invested in a Health Savings or Spending Account (HSA), I am able to charge those accounts as well as all major credit and debit cards.
